Many of you will be aware that an application was made to the Community Buildings Fund at Big Lottery. Following numerous telephone interviews we were advised that a decision would be made in December. Unfortunately, we have received a reply from Big Lottery advising us that we have been unsuccessful in our application.
This is extremely disappointing news. As a team we need to allow some time for us to understand the ramifications of this decision upon our project. The team will meet early in the New year to discuss options that remain available to us and we will then report back to the congregation and Mission Centre on our findings.
We would like to thank you for your prayers and support over the last few years and we would ask you to continue keeping us in your thoughts and prayers over the weeks to come.
Thank You.
Community Life Centre Project Management Team
Sunday 20th May saw the scheduled business meeting held at Sutton congregation to discuss Community Life Centre progress. The object of the meeting was to gain guidance from the congregation as to how best to continue with the project. A funding strategy document has been produced by a professional consultancy company which highlights a significant shortfall in the funds now available for such a project. There are numerous options available which we now need to investigate.
During our business meeting, one point was brought up in particular which we feel needs to be implemented immediately.
PRAYER
Sutton congregation is renewing their efforts to bring this project to God in prayer. It is hoped the whole congregation will be involved in this effort to magnify the effort that has been put in by individual members since the inception of the project.
Prayer time for the project will be included in our evening services with time set aside for individuals to offer their prayers as they feel led. It is envisaged that a similar prayer time will be included during Sunday Adventure and within the individual groups at their meetings.
We would like to invite you to join us in prayer for Community Life Centre.
Sutton holds its Sunday evening service at 5pm.
Could you spare some time during that hour to join Sutton in prayer wherever
you are, whatever you are doing?
Can you remember Community Life Centre in your prayers if you dont already?
Thank You.
